Any professional or enthusiast in the field of industrial automation can apply for membership.

Presently there is only annual membership. Please download the 'Membership Form' from our website.

Membership is renewed annually in April.

Members gain access to all IIAI activities and receive discounts on course enrolment fees. Members may approach concerned authorities through IIAI to clear any issues/ queries / clarifications w r to anytechnical/ regulatory aspects

At present, IIAI conducts theory classes and facilitate practical and industrial training for the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARCI approved courses for Gamma &Ebeam Operators and RSO.

Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), BARC, Board of Radiation & Isotope Technologies (BRIT) which are subsidiary units of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India sets the syllabus; and BARC approves certification course and issues certificates to the successful trainees

Yes, candidates will participate in practical sessions and visits to radiation processing plants.

Radiological Physics & Advisory Division (RP&AD) of BARC and BRITand conduct practical training, exams, and certification.

Yes, Certification is mandatory to get employed as an radiation plant Operator or Radiation Safety Officer in Gamma or Ebeam Plants.

Certified candidates need to register in AERB portal to work in Gamma/Ebeam plants.

No, only companies from the irradiation industry can sponsor candidates.

Industries should send the application form of the candidates and required documents to IIAI office for verification.

Candidates with required qualifcation from radiation industries are eligible ( ref. qualification Section)

Certification is issued in the successful candidate's name.

Yes, candidates who do not clear the course can reapply for the next session.

Incomplete attendance may prevent a candidate from sitting for the exam and viva-voce.

Failing to achieve the minimum required score may prevent certification.
